1929 Rogers Peet #33 of Ken Strong, Staten Island Stapletons. Rogers Peet Department Stores issued 48 cards from various sports (four were football players) in 1929 as part of a redemption promotion. While the specifics of the promotion and how the cards were distributed are unclear; contemporary advertisements describe a contest involving exchange of a completed album for in store merchandise. The cards are extremely rare and seldom offered; and some of the cards seem to be more difficult than others for reasons that are not clear. The Strong example is considered by most advanced collectors to be the most difficult of the football cards to obtain; with only two confirmed examples known to the hobby. The crease-free sharp cornered example has been graded PSA 2 due to the presence of glue residue on the reverse; likely from the original album.
