Thomas Manahan was the starting left tackle for Harvard during the 1893 and 1895 seasons. In 1894 Bert Waters returned to the line and relegated Manahan to a substitute for most of the season. Manahan graduated in 1896 and continued his studies as medical student, earning his second degree in 1899. He served as a physician in the Spanish-American War and was the youngest physician at the time ever to be appointed to the staff at Massachusetts General Hospital. Manahan volunteered as both coach and team doctor for a number of football teams during his lifetime. Offered here is a PSA 7 N302 Manahan; the highest graded example and the only at the PSA 7 tier.
