Edgar Wrightington played halfback at Harvard from 1893 to 1896. He started a few games as a freshman and with a few exceptions was a full time starter his remaining three seasons. Wrightington was elected team captain and earned All American honors during his senior season. After graduating he worked in property management with fellow Harvard alum John "Anonymous" Dunlop. He returned to coach the Crimson in 1904, leading them to a 7-2-1 record. After his coaching stint, Wrightington worked as a banker and oil/gas company executive. The N302 Wrightington has been graded PSA 7, the highest graded and only example at that level.
