T. Dudley Riggs played sparingly on varsity during the 1894 season and substituted occasionally as a center. Moved to guard for the 1895 campaign, Riggs performed so well that he earned All-American honors. Ironically he was described as "slow and clumsy" in a 1895 preseason account. After graduating from Princeton, Riggs owned a successful dog and horse breeding operation. His early death prior to his 40th birthday was attributed to a severe case of foot and mouth disease; possibly contracted in his work environment. The offered Riggs N302 example has been graded PSA 8; 1 of 1 at this level with none higher.
